Come learn the basics of wrapping your baby with Crystal Pedherney, UIBC! Bring your bump, newborn, toddler or big kid! There will be a demo doll there to practice with as well. If you have a wrap of your own, a friend’s to borrow or nothing at all, please come out! I’ll have a wrap or two for those without one to borrow.

This workshop will introduce you to the (often overwhelming) world of baby carriers and safe babywearing. A discussion of how to ensure the safe use and comfort of carriers will head off the class, followed by a demonstration of many brands and types of carriers. Finally, all participants will have a chance to try the available carriers with an emphasis on helping you to decide what type of carrier best suits your babywearing needs. If you already have a carrier that you want to learn more about, please bring it!

Your instructor, Crystal Pedherney, has been wearing her babies since 2008. Living in a rural area and surrounded by nature, it was out of a love for the outdoors and the desire to keep her babies close that led her down this most fulfilling path of babywearing. Crystal’s passion for intuitive parenting has driven her to become a DONA Certified birth doula, an Uppymama Independent Babywearing Consultant (UIBC) and a Canadian Babywearing School trained Educator.
