One of our favorite Uppymama tutorial tips is learning to tuck in your wrap tails in when you are tying Front Cross Carry – take a quick second to watch the video if you need an FCC refresher. FCC is such a great carry for this time of year whether you live somewhere with rain or snow as you can just leave it on in between transferring baby into and out of a car seat.
After you have crossed the wrap on your back, bring your tails forward and tuck them through the loops of fabric at your sides.
This will hold the fabric in place so your tails are not flapping around or dragging while you are putting your baby in the front cross passes.
This also helps hold the tails in place so you will be able to tighten one side at a time without loosing grip.
When you are finished be sure to check that your baby’s face is completely uncovered and visible by capping the fabric over your shoulder. If you put a coat on over you and your baby, make sure the fabric is never covering your baby’s face. If the weather is cold keep your baby warm with a hat. Protect baby’s breathing and airway by always keeping his/her face visible and free of fabric.
Have a great day and thank you for wearing your baby. You are making a positive contribution to our culture by modeling intuitive parenting when you are out wearing your baby. – Becky
